ABOUT THE TOPIC
The Israeli – Palestinian relationship has been fraught with tension ever since 1948 when the state of Israel was created and sparked the first Arab-Israeli war. However, the Palestinian attack on Israel on October 7 this year and Israel’s retaliation created an unforeseen and devastating conflagration and loss of human life. In the hopes that the end of the conflict, or a permanent cease-fire may be possible, we ask ourselves, what could come next in terms of how this region may be successfully governed to achieve a peaceful, productive and lasting order. Steven Erlanger from The New York Times will speak to possibilities for the future.
