ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Stephen Roach is a senior fellow at the Paul Tsai China Center of the Yale Law School. He joined the Yale University faculty in 2010 after thirty years at Morgan Stanley, where he was Non-Executive Chairman and the firm’s Chief Economist. 

Roach has written numerous books and articles on the global economy, including "The Next Asia: Opportunities and Challenges for a New Globalization." His work has been shared widely in national and international media, appearing in various academic journals and books. 

Roach holds a PhD in economics from New York University. He is currently a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the Investment Committee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the China Advisory Board of the Environmental Defense Fund, and the Economics Advisory Board of the University of Wisconsin. 


All in-person lecture attendees must be fully vaccinated and wear a mask.
